This Bittersweet Life is a blog about recipes, DIY home decor, crafts and life in general.  We are a mother-daughter trio who loves Pinterest, baking and crafting.  We've pinned so many things we hope to try that we want to blog about our experiences.  We also hope to bring you original recipes and crafting ideas along with our trial and error "pin experiences" plus cleaning tips and tricks and skincare routines.

Adrienne is the oldest daughter in this blogging trio.  She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and Technical Communications.  She has previously worked for Emmy Award Winning Producer-Director Ginger Kathrens, the promotions department of a CBS affiliate television station and a non-profit production company as the post-production supervisor for a feature-length documentary.  Adrienne most recently helped to take care of her elderly grandmother, Ruth, until her passing.  She now spends her days taking and fulfilling orders for her custom scrapbooking company, Alice Scraps Wonderland, doing social media contract work and playing her flute and piccolo in two music groups for which she also does media and promotional work.  In Adrienne's spare time she enjoys reading and gardening.

Sylvia is the mother in this blogging trio.  She has two daughters, Adrienne, the eldest, and Caitlin, the youngest who recently was married.  Sylvia graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Sociology.  She has in the past owned her own typing and resume services company and worked as a councilor for Goodwill.  She later worked for nearly 2 decades as a legal assistant before beginning work at a local school district, first as a Library Technology Technician and then later in the district's Human Resources department.  Sylvia moved into the house of her elderly mother, Ruth, to help take care of her until Ruth's passing.  She now lives in a brand new house and in her spare time, she enjoys baking and reading.

Caitlin is the youngest daughter in this blogging trio.  She is our crockpot meal aficionado and also runs the Bella Fleur YouTube account, blogging about her makeup, skincare and cleaning routine on This Bittersweet Life.  Caitlin received her degree in Early Childhood Education from Pikes Peak Community College, worked as a Lead Teacher at their on-campus Child Development Center and now works as a nanny.  She recently married the love of her life, Alex, in a wonderful (but slightly soggy!) outdoor ceremony.  She is learning to cook with the help of her husband and enjoys trying crockpot recipes she finds on Pinterest.  In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys spoiling her two dogs and trying out new makeup looks.
