Quick and Easy Scrapbook Layout Idea with Alice Scraps Wonderland

You might question my thinking that any project with fussy cutting is "quick and easy," but if you choose the right elements and you keep down the quantity, you can actually get a layout done pretty quickly.

If you've seen some of my other projects, you'll know I love fussy cutting. Buying patterned paper and cutting out your own ephemera is a lot cheaper than buying pre-cut ephemera, but it can be more time consuming if you cut out complicated or large quantities of elements.

But by choosing elements with simple lines and not a lot of detail, you can cut out a few elements for a stunning page. And in this case, I combined those fussy cuts with a some stickers, a die cut and one pre-cut ephemera piece, making it even easier.

I chose a simple paper from Carta Bella's Home Again collection for my background and then matted my photo with black cardstock. I then chose a coordinating floral paper for fussy cutting. These florals have more simple lines, making these a lot faster to cut out. I chose 4 floral clusters for this layout.

I glued the photo down on the background paper, and then added the florals with one or two layers of foam adhesive. I then chose a single piece of coordinating ephemera, adding it to the lower right of the page.

I cut the word "together" from a coordinating die set out of a piece of minty colored A2 cardstock from Scrapbook.com. I added a few pounces of Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina with a domed foam blending tool to the die cut just for some added dimension. I spritzed it with water and lifted the excess moisture with a soft cloth.

I then used collage medium to glue the die cut down to the page. To finish it off, I added some Thickers, stickers from the Carta Bella collection and a few Pinkfresh Studio jewels.

Until next time, happy crafting!
